  • Good visual description,
  • Good idea – something that is in demand,
  • Had made a good attempt to address all areas of the business.

Weaknesses

  • Space – would not be fully utilised with the number of students,
  • This makes it an expensive business to run,
  • The income generated is not clear,
  • More support staff would be needed.
Strengths

  • good demand;
  • researched market prices.

 

Weaknesses

  • not a new idea;
  • actually just a remake of a campus.

 

Seize the time

Strengths

 

  • Very good title for the project,
  • Focus on a high demand product,
  • Can be seen that theory of marketing is being applied on a practical basis.

Weaknesses

  • Lacks costings so not a full plan,
  • Not clear why it would be beneficial to transfer the project to anyone who is interested – how would the team gain from this?
  • Would be stronger with more specifics.
Strengths

  • function seems applicable and would be a demand item for schools;
  • intentions sound good.

 

Weaknesses

  • Not a new idea exactly;
  • lack of real details in regards to budgets and launch;
  • Who would the watch actually be sold to? – students or schools?

 

New Life to the Old History

Strengths

 

  • Very worthy cause,
  • Environmentally sound intentions,
  • Good idea to involve students in the competition,
  • Could be the start of a much bigger movement if successful,
  • Great sense of community.

Weaknesses

  • Timings of work plan are ambitious – have they been checked out?
  • Unclear where investment would come from – would it be financially viable?
  • Not clear who would manage the project.
Strengths

  • Will find many people supportive of this project;
  • meets a needed demand;
  • very admirable and has many other cultural heritage groups that it can follow as an example.

 

Weaknesses

  • Need to designate in the beginning that this is a “non-profit” company idea;
  • no plan for continued funding and upkeep; no expansion discussion.

Strengths

 

  • Good swot analysis,
  • Clear from the start where the funding would come from,
  • Good use of personal contacts to get started.

Weaknesses

  • Making it international is very ambitious from the start – could be a weakness.
  • Not clear who investors would be and how they would be sourced,
  • A bit confusing about when the web project would change into the café and studio part – could be over-ambitious.
Strengths

  • Meets a demand;
  • is innovative – combines many elements in a larger project;
  • have developed connections;
  • have analyzed strengths and weaknesses.

 

Weaknesses

  • Would like to see more financing models;
  • not sure of application in regards to cell phone and emerging technologies;
  • how much for teachers and copyright materials?

 

It is so easy to be happy

Strengths

 

  • Worthy cause,
  • Clearly describes how it would appeal to a wide range of people,
  • Some good ways of encouraging people to be creative.

Weaknesses

  • No clear details of who would work on the project and how it would be developed,
  • Who would produce the happy box?
  • How would people be encouraged to buy it?

Advantages: Disadvantages

Strengths

  • Great causes and identity of truly distinct issue;
  • good passion.

 

Weaknesses

  • too general of an idea;
  • I don’t understand the actual product being sold as “lucky box”?
  • How will you motivate depressed people to buy one.
  • Being depressed itself leads to lack of motivation…

 

International University Guide

Strengths

 

  • Variety of ways to obtain revenue from the website,
  • Selection of subject – student mobility is a growth area,
  • Start up costs are not enormous.

Weaknesses

  • Not clear how and why universities would buy into this,
  • States similar websites do not cater to Russian or Asian students but it is not clear why this one would – what is the USP?
  • What about supporting and funding ongoing web development as well as initial?
Strengths

  • concrete plan with good notes;
  • demand exists for this product.

Weaknesses

  • not a new idea,
  • no hard costs included – what is small, what is large?
  • How will you differentiate yourself among competitors for capturing market share.

 

First Aid Tutor

Strengths

 

  • Has clearly done research into the project area,
  • Good specific examples (Roman),
  • Very wide ranging considerations in plan (eg data protection),
  • A good attempt at a cash flow summary .

Weaknesses

  • Very ambitious financial planning – probably not achievable, especially in the first year of operation,
  • Costs of running this operation seem to be underestimated.
Strengths

  • demand is recognized and need filled;
  • well thought out and expressed;
  • good plan for getting site exposure.

 

Weaknesses

  • doesn’t deal with competitive market besides general quotes – I want to know if there are “x” number of competitors and how this company will differentiate its brand on the digital space.
  • I didn’t see the financial table that was supposed to be included.
  • What about personal school connections and how they will overcome the personal connections of other companies.
Nextdoor working

Strengths

 

  • Well organised business plan,
  • Appealing vision,
  • Good attempt at sales targets,
  • SWOT analysis covers most areas.

Weaknesses

  • Hugely ambitious project – doubt that it could create 12,000 jobs,
  • Not clear how/why investors would be attracted to the project,
  • Points above missing from SWOT analysis.
Strengths

  • Excellent plan!
  • Well thought, demand, passionate, and serves community needs.

Weaknesses

  • Sustainability?

  • Project taps into green agenda,
  • Clear presentation of business case,
  • Good sales targets section,
  • Good executive summary – clear from outset what the plan is.

  • Unclear how web pages will be used/ attract visitors,
  • Not completely clear how people will become engaged in this project.

  • Niche concept,
  • Good range of marketing strategies,
  • Reasonable attempt at financials,

  • SWOT analysis needs more detail,
  • Project team statements need to be more business focussed.

  • Well written plan, interesting idea, a few of these exist in various cities of the world;
  • demand exists for a niche population that likes cats – overall good idea with well-thought details

 

Weaknesses

  • Might limit who will come in to café, cost of the cats and vet.
  • Bills may be high, food codes and sanitation issue may be a challenge.

  • Restaurants are on trend and would have wide appeal,
  • Good opportunity with the World Cup,
  • Good range of advertising options.

Weaknesses

  • Goals need to be more focussed,
  • Need some figures as well as list of expenses,
  • How would you secure bank investment?
  • Cost of advertising has not been included and would have an impact on the business plan.
Strengths

  • cross-cultural focus;
  • International food is always provocative – especially when authentic;
  • love the passion and idea behind it;

Weaknesses

  • no solid demographics – restaurants are primarily based on brand and location;
  • I want to know what corner and how many people are estimated each day at what average ticket price with what average net margin;
  • how much in percentage is being dedicated to marketing?

 

Brainstorm

Strengths

 

  • Good business idea – clearly a current opportunity in the market,
  • Strong on advantages of studying at home,
  • Well thought out estimates on how many would take up premium on website.

Weaknesses

  • Needs more detail in several areas,
  • Not clear how advertising would work,
  • Actual details of how it would work need to be clearer eg what are the options for individual/group study.
Strengths

  • I like the idea of creating online platform for teaching in Russia, but not new idea;
  • Very workable with demand.

 

Weaknesses

  • Many other companies doing same idea;
  • Demand – how do you gather people to want this?

Strengths

 

  • Good to find a project that taps into a common frustration,
  • Gives the client some influence on the price,

Weaknesses

  • Not clear enough on why the client would use the service,
  • Needs more financial detail,
  • Promotion is definitely a weakness as identified in the project plan.

 

Strengths

  • Requesting little investment;
  • has equipment.

 

Weaknesses

  • Doesn’t understand how much is involved in marketing fee;
  • nobody will list if website is not popular or visited often;
  • buyers and sellers must be aware of “seller’s” brand.
  • Not to mention partnerships and labor in setup;
  • little stated about who will be the help line;
